Ribble Valley website survey

Closed: 01 February 2013

Ribble Valley Borough Council is in the process of redesigning the Council website.  To enable us to do this effectively we would like some feedback on the current website from our users. It is our goal for our website to be as user friendly and informative as possible.

In order to gather your opinion of the current website and how we can improve it, we have developed a short survey. Please take some time to complete this online survey (it should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and your responses are confidential).

Analysis of the results, along with your comments and suggestions, will be used to directly influence the changes and redesign process of the website.

Please give your views in the Ribble Valley Website Review January 2013 online survey - your assistance is much appreciated.

Responses are to be submitted by 1 February 2013. Many thanks in advance and the survey findings, along with next steps, will be updated below shortly after the closing date.

Please note that this consultation has now closed. We are currently analysing the findings and will put them on this page in the next few weeks.

Outcome

Thanks to all of the 205 people who responded to the survey. Overall, 75% of you were currently satisfied or very satisfied with the Council website.

Some of the main ideas pointed out by you that could help the Council make the website more helpful/ informative were as follows:

  • Redesigning the look and feel of the homepage
  • Creating a mobile version of the website for people who visit using their phone or tablet
  • Reorganising the information of the website so that the most popular pages show up first
  • Updating information more quickly

The Council will now take all the comments raised from this survey into discussions with the website provider and incorporate as many of the suggested improvements as possible.
